Overview #

feroxbuster is a content discovery tool written in Rust. It brute-forces directory and file names on a web server using a wordlist, and it searches new folders it finds as it goes.

  • Recursive scanning: it keeps searching inside the directories it finds.
  • Extensions: add file types such as php or txt to every word.
  • Filtering: hide responses by status code, size or word count, so the real results stand out.

Example #

feroxbuster -u http://target.example -w /usr/share/wordlists/dirb/common.txt -x php,txt

Only scan systems you have permission to test. Download feroxbuster from the official GitHub repository or your package manager.
